Perfect for marking their first birthday, these fun and vibrant photo shoots capture the joy and messiness of your baby’s first encounter with cake. Our sessions are designed to be playful and stress-free, allowing your child to explore, taste, and enjoy their cake while we capture every adorable moment. From choosing a theme and color scheme to ensuring a safe and comfortable environment, we handle all the details to make this experience as memorable as it is fun. Each session is crafted to match your chosen theme and color scheme, creating a playful and personalized backdrop for your baby’s cake adventure. All of our cake smash sets are custom made in studio. We have an array of props to create just about anything. I also love to make props for a lot of my sets. Some parents love to be part of that too. There is nothing I love more than making your vision come to life, together. If you are not crafty, there is no need to worry. I have got you covered. You just tell me what you want and I will make it happen.

What To Bring

1. Outfits: Bring a few outfit choices for your baby, including one for the cake smash itself and possibly a cute outfit for some pre- or post-smash shots. We have some outfits available in studio that you are more than welcome to utilize.
2. Props and Decor: If you have any specific props or decorations you’d like to include, feel free to bring them along. We can incorporate them into the set to enhance the theme. Please note that this is optional.
3. Snacks and Drinks: A few snacks and drinks for your little one, especially if they get hungry or thirsty during the shoot.
4. Comfort Items: Bring along any comfort items your baby might need, such as a favorite toy or blanket.
5. Change of Clothes: For both your baby and yourself, as things can get a bit messy.

By bringing these items, you’ll help ensure a smooth and enjoyable cake smash session, allowing us to capture the sweetest moments of your baby’s first birthday!

Bringing too many people to your cake smash session may create distractions and affect the overall experience. To ensure the focus remains on your little one and the joy of the moment, we recommend keeping the number of attendees to a minimum. This helps create a calm and relaxed environment, allowing your baby to feel comfortable and engage naturally with the cake. If you have specific loved ones you'd like to be present, consider having just a few close family members or friends join the session. By keeping it intimate, we can capture the sweetest, most genuine moments of your baby’s special celebration.

Cake Smash | Simple | $485

Our Simple Cake Smash is just that. A simple clean look on a plain backdrop. However, it doesn't have to be completely plain. We can always add a cute banner or numbers or both. We can even add a clean simple row of balloons. Also included is a simple 5" white cake and the use of our client closet if desired. You are more than welcome to bring your own outfit if you have something you prefer to use. Most parents do provide the outfit just know we have a few options.

All of these sessions begin with simple portraits on your set before cake is introduced. That way you have beautiful images even if baby doesn't like the cake. Some Nuggets love the cake and some simply don't. I do not want you to stress or worry if baby doesn't like the cake. If by any chance they do not, which is quite common, I have a few tricks up my sleeve to help.

Want a little extra? You have the option to add on a splash or milk bath in our adorable mini bath tub. Not only do our babies love to splash around, this also makes for super easy cleanup. You may also add simple portraits of baby on a plain backdrop or parent/sibling portraits on a plain backdrop.

Cake Smash | Classic | $585

Our Classic Cake smash includes a custom set in the color scheme of your choice. We have a studio full of props to bring your vision to life. Also included with your session is a small 5" cake, use of our client closet, and best of all, you receive all of the best images in a private online gallery.

Not sure what theme to do? No problem. I have a ton of previous sets that I have already done and can recreate for you. You can find these sessions in our portfolio section under Cake Smash but you can also find some super cute ideas in our Birthday | 2 and up section and our Milestone section. The best part is, since all of my sessions are custom made with real props we can tweak previous sets to your liking. I also have an extensive bucket list of themes I have been dying to create.

Our Deluxe Set has all the bells and whistles. You get everything from our classic cake smash plus a splash/milk bath session in our adorable mini tub, and simple portraits of baby on a plain backdrop.

This session begins with simple portraits on a plain backdrop for a timeless look. we then move on to our cake smash set where i will take some images of baby on your themed set before cake is introduced. That way you have beautiful images even if baby doesn't like the cake. Some Nuggets love the cake and some don't. I do not want you to stress or worry if baby doesn't like the cake. If by any chance they do not like it, which is quite common, I have a few tricks up my sleeve to make it look like they are eating their cake. Once the cake smash madness is over, I fill up my adorable mini clawfoot tub with warm water and let baby splash away. Not only do they absolutely love this part, its much easier cleanup for us. Win Win!!!!
