FAQ

What can I expect from you as my photographer?

You can expect a relaxed, enjoyable experience from start to finish. My goal is to create an environment where both children and adults feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely enjoy the session.

I guide throughout the session while keeping things light and engaging, especially for little ones (yes, the famous duck call still makes an appearance). Sessions are never rushed, and great care is taken with every gallery I deliver — from the experience itself to the final images.

What is your turnaround time?

Turnaround time varies slightly depending on the season and current workload, but galleries are edited in the order sessions are photographed.

Clients can expect their gallery within 7–14 business days. For those needing images sooner, a Rush Editing option is available for an additional fee and must be selected in advance. Availability is limited and not guaranteed during peak seasons.

How will I receive my images?

Once your gallery is complete, your images will be delivered via a private online gallery. You’ll receive a link along with a download PIN, sent by email (or text upon request).

Clients are encouraged to download and safely store their images once received. Galleries are not stored indefinitely, and a re-upload fee applies after 3 months if access is needed again.

Do you offer professional prints?

Yes! Professional prints and products can be ordered directly through your online gallery for convenience and quality assurance.

Custom albums are also available. Please reach out for current pricing and details.

Do I have to order prints through you?

Printing through me is optional, but strongly recommended. Ordering directly from your gallery ensures professional-quality prints with accurate color and finish.

If you choose to print elsewhere, results may vary depending on the lab used. For the best outcome outside the gallery, professional labs such as MPIX Pro are recommended.

How long does a session last?

Session length varies depending on the type of session and natural factors such as weather, lighting, and children’s needs.

Full sessions are not rushed, and I photograph until I have what’s needed to deliver a complete gallery.
Holiday sessions, however, have a strict time limit and are scheduled back-to-back.

What happens if my child gets sick before our session?

I completely understand — little ones get sick, and it happens often. If your child isn’t feeling well, please notify me as soon as possible and we will reschedule.

My priority is always your child’s comfort and ensuring the best possible experience.

What happens if it rains?

Weather is monitored closely leading up to outdoor sessions. Being in Miami, brief rain showers are common and often pass quickly.

If conditions are not ideal or if you prefer not to proceed, rescheduling is always an option. Final decisions are typically made close to the session time.

How many images will I receive?

Image delivery depends on the session type and package selected.

For Classic and Deluxe sessions, all of the best images from your session are fully edited and delivered. I don’t limit or count images — I photograph organically and focus on capturing a complete, beautiful gallery rather than a specific number.

For Petite sessions, a set number of edited images is included (typically 10–20 images, depending on the session type), with the option to purchase additional images if desired.

My goal is always to deliver a thoughtful, well-rounded gallery that reflects the full experience of your session.

Do I choose the location for my outdoor session?

If you have a specific location in mind, I’m happy to photograph there. If you’re unsure, I can recommend a variety of locations that photograph beautifully and align with your session style.

Location guidance is always part of the planning process.

How long is my date held after I receive the booking link?

Once a date and time are opened and the booking link is sent, the time slot is held for 24 hours. If the retainer is not paid within that window, the date will be released and may become available to other clients.

Dates are not guaranteed until the retainer is received.

How far in advance should I book?

To allow time for proper planning and preparation:

• Standard sessions require a minimum of 7 days notice.
• Cake Smash sessions require a minimum of 14 days notice to allow time for custom set design and cake coordination.

Sessions booked within these timeframes may be limited to in-studio sets and available props.

Is a deposit required to reserve my session?

Yes. A non-refundable retainer is required to officially secure your date and time. Your session is not added to the calendar until the retainer has been received. Dates are first-come, first-served.

What happens if I’m late to my session?

Sessions begin promptly at the scheduled time. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to ensure you are ready to start on time.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, a late fee of $80 will apply.

If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, the session will be canceled and a new retainer will be required to reschedule.

Session end times will not be extended due to late arrival in order to respect other clients scheduled that day.

How many people can attend a session?

Each session is designed around the individual or immediate family listed at the time of booking. If you would like to include additional family members, please let me know in advance so we can adjust accordingly. Unplanned additions on the day of your session may not be accommodated.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Rescheduling requests must be made in advance and are subject to availability. Your retainer secures your reserved time and is non-refundable. If you need to reschedule due to illness or emergency, please reach out as soon as possible and we will review available options.

How long will my gallery remain available?

Your online gallery will remain active for 60 days from the delivery date. After that time, it may be removed to make space for new sessions. A gallery retrieval fee applies if reactivation is requested.

Do you offer rush delivery?

Yes. Standard turnaround time is 7–14 business days.

If you need your gallery sooner, the following rush editing options are available:

• 3 Business Day Turnaround – $125
• 48 Business Hour Express Rush – $175

Rush editing must be requested in advance and is subject to availability.

Do you travel for sessions?

Sessions take place in studio or at pre-selected outdoor locations. Travel outside of my standard service area (25 Miles) may be available and is subject to a travel fee. Please inquire for details.

"I have been using Candy since my daughter was born and she is now 7. Her pictures are beautiful. You can tell she enjoys what she does and has a way with kids. Even made my husband smile in pictures and he doesn't do that often. I highly recommend her."
